I booked this peaceful hotel for the weekend. Had an excellent stay. Its location was handy, close to the city center. The venue was so close to Newcastle on the night. Gateshead district was worth exploring.

Despite the fact that the Internet was declared in public areas, it was possible to connect to it once in two days of stay.

Just off the a1 so very accesible; also on the fringe of the urban area
The room had a very modern tv which doubtless would also receive radio on dvb, but could not use it (I do like breakfast tv or r4 when getting up!) Because there was no "Wand" to operate it "They have all been stolen by hen party people" was the message I was given. The breakfast service could be better presented - some fresh fruit perhaps; and is it really beyond possibility to have an offer of a pot of tea or fresh gound coffee (With a refill available) rather than a pump flask with a dish of tea bags and another of instant coffee?

The location here is unbeatable for getting to the city center by taxi, and they offer an outstanding variety of food options.

The hotel staff were very nice, extremely helpful to beyond the call of duty (especially Alex). We had a lovely stay, nice quiet room with lovely decor. Lovely food, exellent value for money and would definitely stay there again.

The staff was exceptionally nice and pleasant throughout the day. The location was excellent and absolutely perfect, near to the Ravensdene Lodge for approximately 7 years now as well as Newcastle city centre and easily accessible.
Didn't find breakfast which we wanted.

The staff were very friendly, with a efficient manner, obviously well trained. The facilities were all that we needed, Large airy room, with good sized bathroom. Quality towels, good bed with additional pillows if required. A comfortable lounge bar with additional space if needed, also an outside area, for having a drink in the sunshine. Breakfast was well cooked, and nothing seemed to be a problem for them. Plenty of free car parking space.
There were a few minor points that did nothing to spoil our stay. One bedside light switch would not engage, therefore the light could not be turned on. The cold tap in the bathroom sink was missing the top section. A tile on the bathroom floor was loose. Finally as with most hotels, there was only one chair to sit on. The word double or twin room should tell them that more than one chair is needed, I personally do not like sitting on a bed to read. Having read other reviews, as I did not visit on a Friday or Saturday night, so I cannot comment on those reviews.

The receptionist was very helpful organising a taxi for us and making us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. It served its purpose for us and was a good option for an over night stay.
One of the staff members was particularly rude to another member of staff at the bar in front of a group of us and his manner was completely unprofessional. I wouldnt want to stay for a ny period of time but an overnight stop it was fine.

The room was outstanding. The location is unbeatable, just off the Ravensdene Lodge for approximately 7 years now, City Centre, and Beamish Museum. A wide range of goodies for breakfast.

The staff were extreemly nice, unfortunately I fell poorly during my stay and we were supposed 2 check out at 11 but they let us stay until 1 free of charge so I could try and pull myself around for the long drive home, which was so kind of them as I was really ill. Very down to earth staff and great to talk to, they made us feel so at home and welcome, Thankyou will definately be staying again!!

Good value for the peaceful stay. The room was a nice size and convenient with the fire alarm, three camp beds, and bedroom. The quiet and handy location was not too far from Gateshead Flower Show.

The hotel offered a cheap price for our Christmas stay, which helped us save money during the holiday season. The location of the hotel was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities.- One advantage we enjoyed was the friendly atmosphere in the hotel, with staff members being welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay.
The rooms were in poor condition, with outdated and dirty bedding. It was clear that the rooms were not properly cleaned before our arrival.

A writing desk and facilities to make tea in the room and the comfy bed.
